Other EU environmental funding programmes
It is essential that, prior to submitting their proposal to the European Commission, beneficiaries check thoroughly that the actions proposed under their project in practice cannot be and are not funded through other European funds. Beneficiaries will be required to sign a declaration to this effect.
Applicants cannot benefit from funding from two different programmes for the same project.
The beneficiaries must inform the European Commission about any related funding they have received from the Community budget, as well as any related ongoing applications for funding from the Community budget. The beneficiaries must also check that they are not receiving operating grants from LIFE+ (or other Community programmes) with respect to the on-going operations.
For ease of reference an indicative list of other EU environment related programmes is outlined below:
- European Regional Development Fund
- European Social Fund
- Cohesion Fund
- Territorial co-operation programme (includes INTERREG)
- European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development
- Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme
- European Fisheries Fund
- Seventh Research Framework Programme
Prior to submitting proposals, potential applicants are also encouraged to refer to the LIFE+ web-site
and/or contact the LIFE+ Malta National Contact Point for further guidance and assistance.
